Roy SMITH Obituary

SMITH, Roy Joe
Entered into rest December 22, 2012 in Sacramento at the age of 81. Born July 18, 1931 a native of Stuart, Oklahoma. A loving and devoted father to Darrell G. Smith and Karen Smith-Connell-Stellflug and her husband Ken Stellflug. An awesome grandpa to Kirsten and her husband Bill, Cassandra, Nathan and Erik and great grandpa to Breck and Kade. Roy is also survived by his siblings Nora Arnal, Juanita Swanson, Bill Smith & Houston Smith. He is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Leona M. Smith; his parents Willie and Ida Smith; and his siblings Ruth, Ruby, Don and Lovena. Roy worked at the Office of State Publishing for 33 years and was an active member of the Senior Gleanors for 21 years. He was a spectacular man whose main goal in life was to sacrifice his own needs for the well being of his family and others. He was a simple man who led a simple life and had a heart of gold. All who knew him would have to agree!
