Out of the night that covers me
Black as the pit from pole to pole
I thank whatever Gods may be
For my unconquerable soul...

RIP Mrs Geri and Thanks.

A teacher affects eternity; she never knows where her influence will stop. Mrs. Geri was my senior AP English teacher at La Sierra High School. It was the first AP English class in the district. She later told me, after I had become an English teacher in the same district, that there had been curriculum and she had had to create it as she went day by day. She did an amazing job. I still use the word analysis and vocabulary structure skills that I learned from her. Rest in peace, Mrs. Geri. I'm sure God has a great big reward for you. You touched the future every day and your legacy lives on in those of us lucky enough to be in your classes. Thank you for teaching me.
