ROSIO, Timothy J., M.D.
Timothy Rosio of El Dorado Hills passed away unexpectedly on July 20th from treatment complications related to prostate cancer. Born in Tucson, AZ, August 14, 1954, Tim is preceded in death by father, William Rosio and mother, Dolores Rosio.
Tim was passionate about his career and received his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. His career positions included Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Texas Tech University; Director of MOHS, Dermatologic, & Cutaneous LASER Surgery at the Marshfield Clinic; Associate Professor of Clinical Derma- tology at University of Wisconsin at Madison Medical School; Director MOHS Laser, and Cosmetic Surgery at UC Davis; and founder of AnewSKIN, a private dermatology and dermasurgery practice with offices in Auburn and El Dorado Hills, CA.
With a love of the outdoors, Tim enjoyed scuba diving, cycling, and photography. His enthusiasm for teaching dermatological surgery coupled with his passion for world travel allowed Tim to provide humanitarian assistance by working with local physicians in third-world countries offering reconstructive surgery for native people.
Tim is survived by his son, Andrew Rosio, his life partner, Laurel Edgeworth; Laurel's mom, Sherry Kinnison; sister, Kara Rosseaux (Leslie) of Phoenix and brother, Michael Rosio of Tucson.

Shocked to learn that Dr. Tim is no longer with us. What a great loss to his family, friends, patients, and the medical community at large. He was a fine man, kind, caring, and a brilliant physician that was always willing to brave new territories in medicine to benefit people. In fact, he was trail blazing the use of lasers on skin before they became mainstream and shared his knowledge by teaching other physicians in the U.S. and in foreign counties how to use them. His expertise helped an endless number of people. For me, Dr. Rosio was a godsend at a time I was losing hope. He was passionate and meticulous about his work, a rare find today. I will surely miss him. Best to Andrew (I gave your dad a propeller hat once, he said he passed it on to you after I dared him to war into a bank) and best to Laurel and Tim's other family members.

Very sorry to hear of Tim's passing. He was my fellowship mentor at Marshfield Clinic from '94 to '95. He was an accomplished and innovative dermatological surgeon and a real leader in our field. He was always willing and able to take on even the toughest of cases. I will always remember his "hands on" laser training courses as Marshfield. My condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed.

I am so very sad to hear of the passing of Dr. Rosio. I was a friend and a patient of this wonderful man. I have always been impressed with his knowledge and giving of his time to his trade. I loved hearing of his travels and donating of his time in other countries. Locally, he always donated his time and services to everyone. I enjoyed working with him and his staff as they always participated and donated to our Fashion Show at Serrano, the El Dorado Hills Garden Club and the Invitational Golf Tournament at Serrano in 2008. I just saw him last month at the concert in Town Center and I introduced my 95 yr old mother to him. Dr. Rosio will be greatly missed.

Over the years, we got to know Dr. Rosio quite well and his compassion, caring, and his ability to be "present and a part of" all conversations set him aside from most doctors we had ever met. His love for family and the work that he did for others around world seemed to shine in his eyes as he would share his personal stories of helping others. We will truly miss his abilities in his profession but also for the caring soul that he was. He has left this world a much better place for thousands of people and no telling how many lives he has saved. May God grant peace and comfort to the his entire family and may God bless him on his new journey - he is probably holding classes right now!
