Walter & Jeanette were friends of my Grandmother Dorothy Byerrum. Several former students of Town & Country were asking about Joanne which lead me to find this. My condolences to the family. A wonderful man & and great teacher he was. Our regards to Jeanette,Joanne and the rest of the family. Sincerely Dorothy

Just read about Walter's death in the SCENE magazine from Pacific Lutheran University. Walter was my first piano teacher at age 7 (I think)! He was the Children's Choir Director at Bethel Lutheran Church in Sacramento, CA. Music was (and is) important in my life as a way of expressing my feelings and my faith. I now live in Minneapolis, MN when music continues to be a great influence and comforter as life unfolds for me. I'll never forget the memorable visit Jeanette and Walter made to our home along the Mississippi River in Minneapolis - getting caught up on events/milestones in each of our lives. Walter introduced me to Bartok when I was a pianist. New modern classical music continues to intrigue me. Blessed be the memory of Walter.

Mr Braafladt taught me the flute at Howe Ave School. Lovely man, great teacher. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Braafladt Family,
My deepest sympathy. Mr. Braafladt was my band teacher at McClathy HS many years ago. I remember him as a kind and gentle teacher. He will be remembered.
