Terri and family, You have my deepest sympathy. As well as being a DVM colleague and good friend, I was the one who introduced you to Great Exuma with my "educational" trips there in the 70's. Howard will be missed by all who knew him.
So very sorry to hear of Howards passing..i will miss him as he helped out so much with the rescued Potcakes off Exuma to Canada. What a difficult time it must be for you Terry and Family..take care
To the DeYoung Family,
I was shocked and saddened to hear of Howards passing. Dr. DeYoung took care of my dad's dairy herd and of course his "spoiled" dogs, for many years. And later, after the herd was gone, Dad so enjoyed hanging out at the DeYoung household, supposedly helping out with farming chores. Dad (Herb Witt) passed away this year in September at 90 years old. I picture the two of them in heaven catching up on old times, as dad did enjoy to talk. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Dear Terri and family, I am saddened to hear of Howard's death. I'll always remember the extra care he gave my old crabby Jack Russell and the many laughs we had at the horse shows. He was a good guy and will be missed.
To the DeYoung family: So sorry to hear of Dr. DeYoung's passing. He was our horse vet and he saved one of our horses by having us bring her to your farm so he could care for her there because he said she wouldn't make it otherwise. We also bred your red doberman to my blue male and I remember she had all black puppies. We spoke often about Howard and his impact on our lives. I'm sure he will be missed. May God comfort you all with this loss.
