Donnie Lock McCoy
CLEVELAND - Donnie Lock McCoy, 60, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013, at his home.
He was born May 24, 1952, in Iredell County to Thomas Frank McCoy and the late Mary Louise Goodman McCoy.
Donnie was a 1971 graduate of West Rowan High School and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam War. He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Knox Chapel United Methodist Church.
Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Thomas Frank McCoy and his wife Lillie; a brother, Robin McCoy and wife Faye of Cleveland; two sisters, Frankie Dean Batts and husband Russell of Charlotte, Sherry Elizabeth Pless and husband James of Salisbury; and best of friends, Carol Alberty.
Service: A Memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday (March 7) at Knox Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Bill Draughn officiating. Burial will follow at Salisbury National Cemetery.
Visitation: 12 to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Memorials: May be made to Knox Chapel United Methodist Church, 3520 Amity Oswalt Road, Cleveland, NC 27013.
