One of the greatest social sciences teachers who ever lived.

He was the reason I went into education and gained a degree in social studies. He would lend me historical novels to read and then would wonder why I hadn't always read the assigned texts. What a legacy he leaves behind. My condolences to the family.

I am so sorry for the loss of your Father, Husband, Grandpa, Uncle, Mentor, Teacher. Brent was so much to so many. And a Great friend, which I left out. No basketball game at West will be the same. Since Brent retired I looked forward to them so I could see him and enjoy that Handshake, smile and great sense of humor. I will REALLY miss all the emails we shared. No one will ever know that what I sent to them came from my great friend Brent. By looking at this Guest Book it is so obvious that you have touched the lives of so many...including Me. Thank you for being a part of my life and learing experience. I'll miss you, My Friend. Blessings to you and all of your Family.

I'll never forget the words Brent Taylor said to me on my last official day at West High School. Somehow Brent sensed I was struggling with the thought of leaving West High after three short years. I did feel some sense of guilt that I was leaving with work left unfinished. Brent calmed my soul by explaining to me that no matter how long or short my stay at West High School was, I would forever be a part of the patchwork and history that makes West High School a special place. I echo those thoughts to you today, my friend. Your stay on earth has been far too short, but your impact and legacy for good will ripple throughout eternity. You've made this life a much better place, Brent Taylor. I miss you, but take comfort in knowing we will meet again.
