Dear Taylor Family,

I was heartbroken to hear of Coach Taylor's passing. He was by far the greatest teacher ever! Not only was he a great teacher but he was also a good friend. I will keep you & your family in my thoughts & prayers. HUGS to all....

Sorry to hear of Brent's passing. I had just arrived in Samoa as a missionary iin Oct.1960 and met Brent in Dec as he was getting on the plane to go home. Elder John Longden had been visiting the mission and I was assigned to cover his visit for the Church News. Brent hand carried my undeveloped rolls of film home to J Heslop of the Deseret News and the story ran the next week with a photo on the cover. After I returned home, and during the past 50 years, he and I had occassional contact. He was always, as his many students have written, smiling, fun-loving and joking, or as the Samoans would say, "ulavale". I always enjoyed being around him and glad he was my friend.

Dear Taylor Family.... I am deeply saddened to read of your loss. I have many memories of spending time with your family and early morning rides to school in the VW!

I wish i would have known.... i would have been there Saturday. Please accept my sincere condolences and know that this old neighbor and friend truly cares.

With love,

Kathy (Webb) Mair

i've psoted before in here, and after going back in and read all the posts, I couldn't help but cry for the memory of a man I'd never met or known other than that I am named after him, as a missionary in Samoa. What wonderful tributes you have all given to this man, and what a great knowledge I now carry for my namesake. My mother who she named her first born after and now I know. God bless the Taylor family continually and thank you all for sharing special memories of him for they are for me too...vaisalalua@yahoo.com
