TO THE MYERS FAMILY
YOU HAVE MY DEEPEST SYMPATHIES. I MET LOU WHEN WE WERE STUDENTS AT WV STATE. HE WAS KIND AND VERY FUNNY. I REALLY GOT TO KNOW HIM WHEN WE LIVED IN NYC. I WILL CHERISH THE MEMORIES THAT BARBARA TANNER AND I SHARED WITH HIM.
YOU'RE IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.

I only met Lou once and that was when he served as MC of the All Black Schools Hall Of Fame ceremony in Charleston, WV. The way he conducted and carried himself left a lasting impression on me. He was a gracious, "down to earth" gentleman and a great role model. I regret I didn't get to know him longer but I am happy he came my way during my lifetime.
