I feel badly not to have responded sooner, but had to take a few minutes to rememberMaurine amd Gilbert as i grew up in the Liberty Ward and later to have Maurine take car of our little boy while I went to medical school and my wife Joan worked. My condolences to all of you for the loss of a wonderful mother. I also remember you children when you were young. May the Lord bless you with peace and comfort at this time. A. Owen Smoot MD

I remember Sister McLean from brief encounters as I attended the ward with Kerri Orgill, and went to school with Powell. She had a very sweet spirit about her.
The thing I remember most was Halloween at the McLean home!
My sincere condolences to the McLean family.

Our history goes back to the time when I was in nurses training at the L.D.S. Hospital where Maurine had graduated. Gilbert was overseas in the Intelligence arm of the army. She was living at the Jackson home with Kathleen. She helped me over the rough spots and lifted my spirits.
We were in the Liberty Ward when we married and she and I were part of the ward sewing group. We met once a month for many years. I learned to deeply love this dear friend. She has always been my role model. We shared a lot of chocolate and many very special times.Love to her and Gilbert and their family, always, Jean Marie Aird

What a wonderful Lady. I remember her driving me and others to merit badge classes on saturday mornings. when i think of her the words that come to mind are Duty, Honor, Family... The world has lost a remarkable & wonderful example for everyone who knew and felt of her influence and Love. I am grateful for having had her as such a strong influence in my childhood. My love and prayers to
the Mclean family she will be missed by many.
Sincerely, Ted Orgill
