Knew Wayne in High School.
What a loss to us all.
He was a great guy then and I am sure continued that way.
God Bless the family of a great guy.
From one Granitian to another, God Bless you Wayne.

Peeches and Family,
We were out of the country when Wayne passed away (in Italy, and thinking of our "Italian" friend) and unable to participate in the wake and funeral. We were saddened to her the news. My first thought was, how can this be, this is Wayne Cederholm? Wayne would never allow for this to happen. In all my years, I have never known a more determined person than Wayne. He once gave me a paper weight inscribed, Never, never, never give up! This is Wayne to a tea. In work or play he is determined to fight to succeed. Well Wayne Ol' buddy, you fought a good fight! A couple of stories about Wayne: Peeches, Wayne, Jackie and I were in Nashville attending a safety conference. Each time the four of us would leave the Sheraton Music City Hotel Wayne would drive and each and every time we left the hotel Wayne would drive out of the hotel area, turn left (the wrong way.) go about a block, make a U turn and head back the right direction. He did this not just once but every time. To this day, when I make a wrong turn Jackie says, "Just do a Wayne"! On the same trip, Wayne still driving, pulled up behind what he thought was stalled traffic. We sat there about 30 seconds and then the rest of us burst out laughing. Wayne had stopped behind cars PARKED along the side of the road. That entire trip was a delight just being with Wayne and Peeches.
Wayne is a great friend, the kind that will stick up for you in a pinch, help you when things are tough and fight along your side for success. He did for me many times. Jackie and I can't express how sad we are to lose such a friend. Peeches, our prayers continue for you and your family. Gordon & Jackie

Our deepest sympathy to Wayne's family. I will always remember Wayne in Bev Olson's history class relieving a tense moment when someone's mother had complained that she was encouraging drug use,by taking aspirin and Coke. Wayne simply said "I'll tell mom you're sorry." We all laughed and his mom was frequently referenced in class after that. What a great guy. His was the only presidential vote that I've never regretted.

People don't come any better than Wayne. Obviously accomplished. A really nice guy. I'll always cherish talking to him at our reunion, Peeches, as well as a time long ago in the basement at St. Ambrose when we hung out together for an hour at Mardi Gras, just talking and having a good time. He made it clear to me on both occasions just how proud he was of his kids. He won't be forgotten.
