Dear Sister, Charlyn, [just seeing this guest book....]
It has not sunk in that you're now gone from this earthly veil. I still think of you over there in your little house on the 'western slope' going about your daily endeavors. I so enjoyed our last real conversation via telephone last June 8, '12 - my BD , you called and we talked at least an hour and shared our cancer predicaments and all they involved & how you shared your experience w/ me for the 1st time re your first bout in 2000. You fought the good fight against this 2nd onslaught valiantly. It was more stubborn than your resistance could muster. [God has also let me beat this (first/only bout). They've pronounce me cancer-free.] As all the other respondents recall, I also recall you in my mind's eye with a really broad smile when things hit you particularly funny...of us laughing together at so small, benign, innocent amusements...your full head of dark
hair [I always envied] framing your face...your crystal green eyes [in contract to my brown]...your avid love of reading books and anything else set before you [as kids, you sent me to the book-mobile many times: "Just get me anything -- to read"]...your gift of God-given intellect [a whiz at written puzzles -- which I also envied -- and making straight "A's"--even in Latin and algebra, w/o cracking a homework book!--while I struggled, hitting the mid-night oil]... I've always loved you and will miss you. [Now there are 3 of 6 of us left...I tho't I'd be next. You beat me...] I am enjoying my life here on earth, but it won't be the same with no further expectations of visits w/ you here or there. I want so to see you again, "in the air". I remember Charlyn as we were growing up - she was 1 yr younger than me. The last time I saw her was about 1969 at a Wells Family Reunion. I remember her as being sweet and very pretty. I'm sorry I lost contact with her over the years. I'm glad to know that she had an active life and a loving family.
God bless you all,
DiAnn Wilson Triesch
