What a horrible loss. My heart goes out to you Rajia and your family. I have so many fond memories of Danny from my years at UTHSCSA. He had such a kind and gentle presence. And a wicked sense of humor!
You are all in my thoughts,
Ingrid

Rajia, I am so sorry for your loss. I will always be grateful for the kindness and mentoring you all provided me as I was entering medical librarianship at Methodist Hospital library, "across the street." You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Rajia & Danny's entire family: Words seem so inadequate at such a time, but I offer my condolences and remembrances: Like so many others, I knew Danny through library-related entities, such as NASIG and also during the time he was with Harrassowitz. He was always willing to help or to find THE person who could help -- he was all about service, cheerfully and expertly rendered. He contributed much while he was in the world, not the least his sense of humor and belief in humanity. Danny was a reflection of all that was good in the world.

I was so sorry to read of Danny's passing. As children we played together on Churchill Road in North Charleston. My prayers and sympathy to Danny's entire family.

Rajia - My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I have a lot of fun memories with you and Danny, that I cherish. I always enjoyed discussing all things Southern with him. I am blessed to have known Danny, and my life is richer because of it. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

My condolences to Danny's entire family on this unexpected loss. Although I only came to know Danny late in his library career, he provided such valuable insights and contributions to the TLA Committee on which we served. He was a Renaissance man.
