David Lawhon Obituary
David Thomas Lawhon was returned to the loving hands of his Creator on August 25, 2015. He is survived by his parents, Barbara and Tom Lawhon; his children, Aaron Lawhon, Thomas Lawhon and Brittany Lawhon; and his five sisters, Cherie Webster, Pam McCarthy (Tom), Pat Gavia (David), Susan Schinker, Janie Simmons (Walt); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
David was born on September 19, 1954 and raised in San Antonio, TX where he graduated from MacArthur High School in 1972. He then served his country for four years in the United States Navy. It was there that he met his first wife and mother of his children, Dana Dunbar.
David graduated from UTSA with a degree in Geology which led him into a long career working across the nation.
He will be remembered by those close to him as a charming man with an illuminating smile. At his happiest, he was sharing a song, watching a baseball game or simply meeting a stranger.
