Thank you for your service. Though you were not militant, you were a soldier for US. As a veteran of the USAF, I am a beneficiary of the hard work that you and so many others have put forth. May God continue to hold your soul in His bosom as you rest in peace.
Thank you Frank!
FRANK, WHAT WOULD WE HAVE DONE IN THE GAY COMMUNITY , WITHOUT MEN LIKE YOU ? MY SPOUSE AND I, TOGETHER 40 YEARS, WILL CARRY ON YOUR WORK. YOU DID NOT WORK ALONE, WE HAVE BEEN THERE, ALTHOUGH NOT AS VOCAL NOR WITH THE SAME COURAGE, BUT WE WERE THERE: AND WE WILL NOT STOP THE FIGHT UNTIL ALL PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD ARE FREE.
TED KENNEDY ONCE SAID : " THE WORK GOES ON, THE CAUSE ENDURES, THE HOPE STILL LIVES, AND THE DREAM SHALL NEVER DIE" NOR SHALL YOU OUR DEAR FRIEND, YOU LIVE ON IN YOUR WORK.
Thank you for everything that you accomplished in your life sir. Sincerely Robert and Donald

Thank You Frank for you courage, without it I may not be here today out and proud of who I am. Rest in Peace. You are a great pillar in the LGBT community.
Frank, the gay community owes you a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid. While we continue to struggle for the basic equalities that every person deserves, you set the foundation for all of the victories that we have enjoyed thus far. May your impact continue to be felt and your efforts continue to be rewarded. Thank you.
Although this was before my time, I will definitely pass this on to my children as he is truly a hero. To have the courage & conviction to not just fight for his rights, but those of his brothers & sisters, against such odds!! Awesome! God Bless.
A huge hug and "Thank You" to a pioneer who blazed a trail for the rest of us to follow. The world is a better place because of your bravery and spirit.
U gave the world the truth in same sex relationships, May the Wonderful Saviour give u the peace u so deserve. I'm sorry for the way people thought of same sex relationships, but now u opened the eyes of the world, and I congratulate u for what u did. I'm a straight person, but I had a very good friend, that was gay, he had the life that everyone else wanted. He was proud of being out in life, and he celebrated life to the fullest. He never pushed his life on anyone, and he wasn't afraid to say he was gay. Its hard to believe that some people are so narrow minded when it comes to the gays and the lesbians. The gays and lesbians are also humans, and they have feelings. If they get cut, they still feel pain. They have as much rights as all humans. Its not against the law to be gay or lesbian. GOD bless u, Frank, for all u have done.
May the great Christian God bless you for all of the work you have done to make life "safer" for us on the Earth. You were so brave yet determined to change things and did so many things for us.
As you look down upon the next generation fighting for our equal rights, may you always carry a smile knowing you carried the first torch!
It just wasn't safe to come out in the mid 50's. I was always hiding it. Some in high school knew I was gay, but we never talked about it. The 4 years in the Navy was a breeze, I was very surprised. I think it was because a lot of people were coming out. Everything from then has been wonderful, no problems on any job ever. Thank you Frank Kameny. Many times over.
Frank, you will be greatly missed. You gave me such wonderful advice when I moved to DC and came out. I was an admirer of your work and dedication to our cause. I hope to meet you when I cross over. We will share some stories. God bless you and give you eternal peace for all you have done. I remain a devoted admirer.
Thank you making it safe for my friends and everyone to be who they are. The courage you had, make us all in awe!. A pioneer who never gave up. We will miss you and please know you made a difference that changed everyone's life for the better.
You have made it much easier to fight for ant discrimination laws and ordinances by paving the way. You will be missed.
There are so many gay and lesbian kids in America who will never know what you did for them....and for all of us....but I was a child in the 50s and 60s....and I know you made it better for me. Thank you....
Such a great loss, thanks for everything you did in our community. God Bless
Thank you sir for beginning to help my life be even better. I respect and admire the work and road you began. I am a better person because of your efforts hardwork and devotion to "our lives." Thank you sir.
Rest in peace. Thanks for your bravery and your courage to stand in the midst of the storm.
Though I never knew you, you are a true hero in American history. Thanks for standing up and making our community better and stronger. Rest in peace.
It was a privilege and honor to have been in your presence during the late 60s and early 70s. R.I.P., dear pioneer.
Thank you for all you have done for us!!
I moved to Washington, DC, in the mid-1970s, an early time in the gay rights struggle. And Frank, the originator of "Gay is Good," was there, smiling and speaking Truth to Power--so eloquently, anytime he pleased. No matter where I saw Frank or when we spoke, you'd think he had all the time in the world.
Thank you and God bless you for all you have accomplished in helping us belong in our society.
Thank you Frank for all the hardship you endured to make others have an easier life path. I wish I had known you,but somehow feel your presence
JoAnn VanDenHeuvel, 61, who also died in Sept. was an early gay rights activist. She supported you and also marched and wrote and had a gay bar in NYC. She was out her entire life. I salute you for all that you have done. You have paved the way for the rest of us. Thank you. Lynette Wood, Largo, FL
Rest in peace, Mr. Kameny, and thank you for your brave work.
THOSE OF US WHO FOLLOWED MR. KAMENY AS WORKERS FOR GAY RIGHTS WILL MISS HIM. I worked with Cleve Jones imorganizing the first March on Washington for GLBT rights. More than half a million attended. We traveled to 16 states to organize the March. Frank made it possible for people like me to publicly acknowlege our roles as Gay Rights leaders. I also started the first Anonymous HIV test site in the world. My friends Larry Kramer and Greg Louganis will also miss you.
I knew Frank in the 1970's when I first came to live in DC. The Gay Rights Movement has lost a wonderful person. I can only say thanks Frank for all you have done for us all. God Bless
What a pioneer in the gay movement! Thank you Frank for making the world a better place for us all! Rest in Peace!
Dear friend, you will be missed. Your efforts will always be appreciated by our community. You personally helped me in the 70's and for that I remain very grateful! Thank you for ALL you did.
FRANK KAMENY WAS AN INSPIRATION TO ME IN THE LATE 60'S AND EARLY 70'S WHEN I WAS VICE PRESIDENT AND PRESIDENT OF MATTACHINE MIDWEST IN CHICAGO. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU - REST IN PEACE, BROTHER.
Rest in peace Frank Kameny. You were a friend for over 35 years. When I met you I knew nothing about the gay life and thought I was alone....you opened my eyes to a whole new world and I thank you. I don't know where I would be today without your guidance and friendship. Thank you for all you did and for being you.
Thank you for paving the way for us. God Bless You.
