"Another wonderful woman joined the ranks of God's angels. Every moment of Evelyn Hyltin's life was devoted to her love of the Lord. Later in life, she volunteered in nursing homes, knitted dolls for orphanages in her Prayers and Stitches group at Crossroads Baptist Church, and supported and wrote to a missionary couple. Her last days were filled with the love of family and friends. She will be missed by all."
Evelyn McDade Hyltin, 86, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. She was born August 4, 1926 in San Antonio to Howard and Maurine Heaslet McDade. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter John Hyltin in 2006, a son, Michael Hyltin and her sister, Adell Ammerman Burchett. She is survived by her children, Cindy Hyltin, John Paul Hyltin and Kristi Fowler; grandchildren, Keith Hudson, Kurt Hudson, Kara Hudson, Ann Alvarado, William Hyltin, Cameron Fowler and Haven Fowler; great grandchildren, Daly Hudson, Jayson Carrender, Abygail Alvarado, Marsella Perez and Alessandro Perez. The visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013 from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Crossroads Baptist Church, 8300 Tezel Rd. with Pastor Doug Diehl officiating. The interment will follow at Ft.
