Jim Irby Obituary

January 1, 1954 - September 29, 2015
Jim Irby passed away on September 29, 2015 at the age of 61. Jim was born in San Antonio on January 1, 1954. Jim served in the US Navy and continued serving his country for a number of years by volunteering at the Audie L Murphy VA hospital. He passed after 35 years of living and fighting with Multiple Sclerosis. He fought the good fight. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the VA Doctors and Staff for all their help during Jim's visits there. Very special thanks to Patrice King, RN. He is preceded in death, by his maternal and paternal grandparents; Father Harry Irby, Brother Michael Irby, Uncles Clinton Irby, Joe Badaracco, Leroy Badaracco. Aunts Mary Ann Van Zandt and Gloria Harrell. He is survived by his mother, Corrine Irby. Sisters Beverly Churchill, and Nancy Lovely and husband David. Cousin Donny Van Zandt and wife Pam. And numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with recitation of the rosary at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Porter Loring on McCullough.
