I will never forget our last few days together and the times when you looked deeply into my eyes, told me you loved me and gave me a kiss. Your beautiful hazel eyes looked right into my soul. I know now you were saying goodbye, but you will be with me forever. I love you.

Our days were filled with the sounds of saws and hammers as mom and dad worked on their dream home. The pond and slide she made for us; the chickens and rabbits; cocker spaniels; fruit trees; honey bees and her small pottery studio. Thank you mom for teaching us the love of life, wisdom, love for others, tenderness for children and animals. And,too for gifts of strength, laughter and joy, family traditions, morals and values. You will be missed, but I rest assured I WILL see you again.

It was my privilege to make pottery with Dorothy for several years in the 1970s, first at Laura's studio, then at hers. She helped me develop my own style by learning the basics, then alternate techniques. She was such a lady and an inspiration to all of her students.
I am sorry to hear of her passing, but delighted to know that she had such a long and rich life.

It's been many years since I last saw Mrs Wiker; I remember her as a gracious and kind lady who was the mother of one of my best childhood friends. Sue, I know that the opportunity for your mother to be with you these past years will be cherished memories for you and your family! My condolences to all of you for the loss of your mother, but I know she will be with you always!
