John, as a fellow "colt" I think you wrote a wonderful history of a woman that was both a devoted wife and mother and an intelligent sort to have been "involved" for so long. May she rest in peace and know John, that you were a GOOD son! Condolences to you and your family.

I did not know your mom, but I read her obituary this Sunday. Her story touched me. She was a remarkable person who I could learn a few lessons from being a Navy wife myself. I prayed for her and your family may you find peace.

John, you wrote about emerging from a long tunnel and my heart echos your sentiments. My own family has several members with dementia and I lost my mother two years ago in similar fashion. You were a good and loving son. Your Mother's dedication to her family shines through in the work you do. Fondly, Lynn DeWoskin Covarrubias--class of '66

Though I didn't know your mother, she must have been a wonderful woman to have raised a son with such fine character.
