HAGARTY, KATHLEEN MARIE A gentle, loving soul with a kind heart, our sister Kathy passed away on October 18, 2012, at the age of 62. Born on August 12, 1950, in Hartford, Connecticut to Thomas J. Hagarty and Frances (Martel) Hagarty, Kathy graduated from West Hartford's Northwest Catholic High School in 1968. She continued her studies at Manhattanville College during a turbulent and exciting time for college students, graduating in 1972 with a BA in psychology. For several years after graduating from college, she worked in sales and marketing in the New York City area, including Fawcett Publishing, 3M Media Services, J.C. Penney Company and Must Software International. In 1987, she moved to San Diego and joined Computer Associates as a technical writer where she worked until retiring last year. Kathy was an accomplished photographer who loved to travel and document her visits on film. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Christine, brother Joseph, and her beloved Aunt June who gifted Kathy with her love of the beach. She is survived by her sister Mary Hagarty of Costa Mesa, California, and brothers Thomas Hagarty of West Hartford, Connecticut and Mark (Molly) Hagarty and nephews Mac and Murphy Hagarty of La Jolla, California. You'll always be the calming voice and wonderful spirit who will remain with us forever.

To the Hagarty family, I was so shocked to learn of Kathleen's passing. I worked with her for many years at Computer Associates. She was a gentle soul and such a good writer. Your hearts must be breaking to have lost her so young. My deepest sympathies to all of you. Suzi Westmoreland
