Sincere sympathies to all family members on the loss of a beautiful lady. She will be in your hearts forever and you only need to gaze upon Heidi & Katie to see her spirit
in them. Comfort and peace to you all.
Your granddaughter and your son in law (Jim) and your daughter miss you. There is so much love around you mom, your spirit is so present and so at peace. THANK YOU for all of the caring people posting. She is smiling in heaven.
Her genuine loving & warm spirit was given freely to so many! We've been so fortunate & blessed to have known Myrna and family for decades! I know my Mom & Dad dearly cherished their friendship over the years. Myrna was also a caring, insightful being; sharing her ways and wisdom; "being there" as a faithful friend, sister, mother, wife and gramma! / Altho' we didn't see each other much, just knowing she was down the street from my folks was a comforting status quo. I'll miss "Aunt" Myrna, but I learned a lot from her spirit & wise words which helped me thru some of my own hard times. Still appreciated!
So ... Fly with the Angels and be at Peace!
You will be missed and remembered FOREVER Darling Aunt Myrna!!!! xoxo
My dearest friend (sister). Missed so much, loved always, never forgotten. I look down the street and cannot believe you are not there after all these years, Miss you so much.
I love that trade mark smile I see now passed down from one generation to the next! Full of life and love...What a great family to know. I am blessed to have known them, we are all. Thank you Mrs. McGinnis, as I will always remember you as, for sharing your light with me! Lots hugs your way Heidi!
I have so many wonderful memories of the McGinnis family. Running back and forth between the cul de sacs, playing in the street, the beach, cutting down neighbors bushes with your parents new garden tool, car stalling on Genessee and rolling backwards down the hill :) . Many, many memories. You all will be in my heart forever. The picture posted is how I remember your mom. She always had that big smile on her face. Heidi, you are fortunate to have that same smile. Love, hugs and kisses to you all!
Thank you to all of you signing my moms page. Thank you for sharing memories and Julie I don't recall ever meeting you but thank you for sending thoughts to my daughter Katie, my husband Jim and I feel so much love and support, its beautiful. Thank you for all the support means a lot to me and my husband and my dad Dick. Blessings, Heidi
Myrna, I was your friend in the early 70's. We became friends through our sons, John and Brad. I will always have fond memories of you and your children and the time we spent in University City. Rest in Peace, beautiful lady. John, Brad lives in Temecula with his darling daughters. My email is email@example.com
Love and strength to Dick, John and little Katie. Myrna was the light and joy of The Island. She gave positive energy and love to
everyone around her. Washington Island is a better place when she takes her final rest there next summer. Love to you, Myrna! Swim, wash your hair and skip stones at Schoolhouse Beach. Watch every sunrise over Rock Island. And watch every beautiful sunset from People's Park. Boil the fresh potato from the sprout that grows amidst the wheat and lavender fields. See the waves and hear them roll the rocks smooth on the beaches. Love to you from Julie and the Gianni Family- Lilray Harbor
The newspaper said everything. What can I add except to give my condolences to Dick, Heidi, John and the rest of the family. I'm very sorry.
I miss you everyday mom. You fought so hard and now you are at peace which brings me peace. You were an amazing light on earth now you are our angel. we feel your spirit all around us miss sparky ! Many awesome and fun years we had. Heidi, Jim and Katie
I have fond memories of Myrna and her family. She and her three children were members of University Lutheran Church in La Jolla where I was the pastor. A happy moment was officiating at her marriage to Dick. In a recent DVD that I prepared for the 50th anniversary of the church, Myrna is in a special photo showing her on Ash Wednesday receiving ashes administered by the campus pastors of UCSD. My prayers go out to Dick, son John and daughter Heidi. Rev. John Huber
the obituary said it all - "passion for life, positive personality and beautiful smile"
my most fond memories - that smile and infectious laugh
Ernie and I have fond memories of Myrna, who always always gave full attention to us whenever we met in the University City neighborhod at the tennis court, in the grocery store, or at a party. We know her medical challenges would never change her personality. With Myrna, it was always about the other person. Our deepest sympathy to her family and close friends..such a sad loss for those left behind.
