I was a student of Mr. Richard in 5th grade. This was in 1960 / 1961 school year when a portion (3rd through 5th grades) of the school was still on Fay Avenue in La Jolla. There were other grades at the old Wisteria Cottage on Prospect Street in La Jolla. Mr. Richard was a dedicated teacher. He will be missed. Thanks to him for the many years of dedication to the students of La Jolla Country Day School. My condolences to his family.
Dear Sally and girls, I'm so sorry we will be unable to attend Trums service. You all will be in our thoughts, hearts and prayers. Doris, Douglas and Paul Cronkhite.
Trum, we played golf together many times and I always admired your game and your wisdom. You will be missed, including me. The world is better because you were here. God bless you.
Sweet, gentle Trumbull, your contribution to LJCDS through the decades is legendary. You were always an icon for trustees that followed which is probably why I felt I was meeting a super hero that first day you walked into White Sands with your precious bride. Thanks for all that you gave to so many and for being such a gentle-man. Godspeed, dear friend, you will be missed.
My sincerest condolences to you and your family during this difficult time.
I admired your husband's humility and kindness, and deeply appreciated his friendliness to me after becoming better acquainted during a brief visit with you both as a "Rhodes Caller."
I enjoyed your friendship for many years and miss you very much. With love, Jo
