We are disabled elderly tenants at one of Jim's properties, Jefferson House II Senior Apartments in Carlsbad. Jim was kind. We have been safe under him. It was devastating to learn about his passing. There is no longer someone over us who cares and understands our disabilities. Some of us have been disabled even further by crime. He is now gone, and already, we have to pay for things never required under Jim in addition to the rent in our lease. Some of us struggle to make it through the month to pay for life sustaining necessities like food, with no money left to pay for even things like dental care, but we are now required to pay additional monies for the landlord in addition to rent. Many have lost teeth and have trouble even eating. Jim is no longer there to care and keep us safe. We pray that he knows what is happening to us since his passing, and he will look out for us as our guardian angel. We send sincerest condolences to his family. He will be greatly missed by everyone privileged to know him, especially those of us whose lives were safe under his ownership.

He was the bomb.

I first met Jim during our time as classmates at USC Law School. He was a special person, a true gentleman and well liked by all. I will miss him.

We are so saddened to learn of Jim's Return. He was a mentor to me while I was in law school nmany years ago, and a blessing to all.
