Karen Moore Obituary

Karen Lynne Moore August 6, 1947 - May 17, 2017 Encinitas Native Californian. Born in San Bernardino and attended school in San Diego. Studied at Rolando Andrew Jackson, Horace Mann and Crawford High School. Moved to North San Diego County 54 years ago. Was a teacher's aide in kindergarten at Ocean Knoll School for seven years. Team mother, treasurer and board member for Northern San Dieguito Little League for 12 years. A veteran crafter dabbling in silversmithing, upholstering, stained glass, painting, sewing and much more. She worked for a direct marketing firm for 16 years. She always said she'd never retire. Her special interest were her cats, for the most part strays who came for medical attention and stayed. Blackie, Minnie, Coyote, Stretch, TK, Little Mom, Grump, Roger, Hogan, Little Bits, Diana, Ferbie and Nacho will miss dearly their best friend. Karen is survived by the light of her life, her adored son Kris Moore; her husband Hubert Moore Jr., best friends Marci and Dave Baxter, and cousin Bill Lipkeman. We will miss her forever, but know that she'll always be here for and with us. With Love -------
