Dear Anthony, Carol, and Tom,
It's shocking to hear Lisa is no more. I'm struggling to believe it. Lisa made me feel like I was part of your family; it was her generosity of spirit that made me feel like I was at home during all my years at Salk. She truly was an embodiment of large spirited; her warmth makes it all the more hard to come to terms with her passing. I still vividly remember all the Christmas holidays I was fortunate to spend with her. It must be very hard on you. I hope and pray you find comfort in the fond memories of your shared experiences.
Yours,
posina

Not a day goes by that I don't think about my little Lisa. I have never known someone so fiery, passionate and intelligent, all rolled into one. When I moved away, I wouldn't have any communication with her for months on end, but when I came back to SD, her reaction to seeing me made me feel like the most important person on earth and like not a day had gone by since I last spoke to her. I adored her.

I will always think of her, especially when reading The Giving Tree to my children. She once told me that she hated that book because she could never read it without crying, so I bought a copy for Anthony. Oh boy was she unamused when he insisted she read it to him every night for awhile! I recently found my copy that she gave to me, as revenge I suspect, on the birth of my first child; complete with an inscription from her telling me never to forget her. I won't, Lisa!

Lisa started out as an eyeglass patient and became a dear friend. Her death is shocking and tragic. I will forever have happy memories of this adorable tiny woman with a huge heart and warm loving personality. My deepest heartfelt condolences to her son and family..

I just accidentally heard of Lisa's passing. I remember talking to her when she owned the Book Works, which I loved to visit. She was a very classy lady who had a definite passion for what she did. My condolences to her family on their loss.
