One of my special memories was re-caulking the Lightning sailboat as it hung from a tree limb in the Smith's back yard' Also, having Dr. Smith's support after my father's premature passing is a big reason for me completing my education and teaching math and physics at the high school and community college. Thank you Donna for gifting me some of your father's books.

Ah the memories! Dorothy and Jack were active in San Diego State Faculty events and as a Zoology Faculty Member and San Diego State Graduate in 1939 we did many things together. I am 96 so shared in MANY activities along with my late wife, Lillian. My sincere condolences, Andrew C. "Andy" Olson, Ph.D, Emeritus Zoology SDSU.

Happy Birthday Uncle Jack. Wish youcould have been here for your 100th. When I was younger I never understood what you really did for work. But since I've worked with the Pt. Loma base for the last 26 years, I truly understand now what you did there. And I've always heard glowing reports as to your years as Professor. Last time I saw you, your mind was still sharp as a tack. Everyone misses you. Love you, Kathleen
