It was my pleasure to work at Central Jail with Mel and Betty. On the outside my wife, Donna, and I, Mel and Betty, and Jim and Millie Williams had some fine dinners and lively Trivial Persuit sessions. So much fun! Thinking of you, Betty.

I worked at vista sub with Mel, many yrs. In 1973 when my husband died Mel had lost Marylin in 1971 and he was such a great friend to me, offering and insisting that he take to every place I needed to conduct necessary business, ssn, co employees assn., SO etc. He knew what was required. I am so happy he found you, Betty. Please accept my sincere sympathy and love

We knew Mel and Betty from the early Del Mar Kiwanis days. What fun we had. Mel was always a wonderful person, and the fond memories of service and laughter from those days remain with us always. Betty, we send you our heartfelt sympathy. With love, Marty and Marcia Stern
