Thought of Bob yesterday on his birthday... posted a memory message on my facebook page :)

I'm sure his family is aware that the life he lived, he lived it everywhere, not just at church or in front of his family. He truly was the finest example of a Christian at work and on the street as well. I remember working side by side with him for about 20 years... and he'd come back from mass at lunch and mention how a homeless person would ask him for money. (Father Joe Carroll had been to one of our AT&T functions and had advised against handing out money .. but to direct people to one of their shelters). But Bob always took things just a little step further. He would tell them he wouldn't give them money, but if they were truly hungry he would buy them lunch. Funny how the ones who used 'hunger' as hook all of a sudden weren't hungry anymore. And after the purchase of lunch, Bob didn't just walk away. He'd invite the person to sit and eat with him. That is how God wants us to take care of our needy brothers and sisters ... with the kind of love and concern Bob always showed ... and he never did it with an attitude of superiority, but always with a sense of humility.

My children grew up knowing Bob, and listening to his music. Have so many family & friends now on facebook. Wonder if anyone has downloaded Bob's music? I'd love to post some of his music and keep sharing his message! Let me know ... anna2grace@aim.com

May your family continued to be blessed, knowing how much he loved all of you. Certainly a treasure he was and still is ...

Happy Birthday to you Bob! I miss you so much. You always had the right words to say. So many of this family is in great pain and suffering. I don't know how to help them. And the words always seem to be taken the wrong way. I know prayer is #1 I pray. Know you are my hero! my God with skin...you showed the Joy of the Lord..you showed me true love, never judging accepting other as God made them. How deep suffering and pain even the deepest kind the Job/Bob pain...can put on a good face..and be the example of Christ. Even when the pain is still alive inside, you put it aside to minister to others...in words of acceptance...in songs of encouragement and through deep love for God and his people that shined through your voice your eyes, touch and actions...I love you! Thanks for reminding me God Love's me no matter what...? Hugs to everyone up there from me hug Mom extra special please! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG BROTHER! tryin hard to follow your example -Col

Bob, Talkin to Joe about you tonight...He suggested I go back here to this site. I bought a Book on Mother Theresa this week, while thinking of you.Her 100th year since her birth. The book makes me want to do something amazing for GOD!!! I remember crying when you visited my house and sang me a song you were practicing. it was about using your life, finding your calling in life and having faith to move mountains and I said "i wish i knew what I could do"...and you said "Your doing it!! you are raising 3 of Gods children"!(crying as i write this) Mother Teresa did SO much. I wish I could see myself like you did! You, for that moment, made me feel like i had a place too..wish I could see it. I will keep praying and trying and trying my best
