Betty Chadwell, 82, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, in San Luis Obispo. She was born in Los Angeles in 1930 to Ivan and Elvina Windbigler, the oldest of four sisters and one brother. Betty was a realtor in the Los Angeles area before she retired to the Central Coast. She wanted to stay active, so became involved with the Salvation Army in Morro Bay, which she enjoyed for several years. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Morro Bay. Betty is survived by her husband of 60 years, Billy Herschel Chadwell; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Bill. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at the dining hall at Judson Terrace, 3000 Augusta St. in San Luis Obispo. On street parking only.

So sorry to hear of Betty's passing, Billy. I did so enjoy working with her at the Salvation Army in Morro Bay. She was a delight!
