WE MISSED JOAN IN HER BACKYARD WHEN WE LEFT PISMO EIGHT YEARS AGO. WE WILL MISS HER IN THE FUTURE. WONDERFUL MEMORY.

Dear Bill and family, thank you for having Joan's obituary appear in the Wisconsin State Journal so that those of us who knew Joan can write these words in her memory. She was a lovely person; I remember her well from East High School and then seeing her occasionally in California when I visited my brother's family. My thoughts are with you, I know you have wonderful memories of Joan. With love,

My condolences to Bill and family. I had known Joan from the Republican booth at SLO's farmers market and always found her to be an engaging and brilliant lady. I will miss her smile and laughter.

Joan was my high school classmate-class of '50. We shared many good times and thanks to email stayed in touch. Thanks Bill

I remember Joan fondly, although we haven't seen her for many years. She had a great sense of humor and was a kind and gentle person. I'm sorry she's no longer here.

Joanie was my dear aunt. As a faithful Christian mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and aunt throughout her life, she knew she was a sinner and needed her Savior. As a selfless role model, she helped raise a great family and was rightly proud of them. May God's promise of eternal life comfort all who mourn her loss.

Dear Joan: she welcomed us into her home for CUFL meetings. I loved working in the kitchen with her to get ready. We felt welcomed and pampered when Joan was hostess.
Joan was always beautifully groomed and well dressed. She was slender and elegant, a perfect mannequin for her clothes. Joan had a sweet and patient disposition and was a good counterpart for her fast-talking, thinks-on-his-feet husband, Bill. What a marvelous pair! I love you both.

A special memory in her life was that she could play "jesus loves me" on the piano perfectly. i thought that was pretty cool for a person her age!

I will miss you so much, you were the most generous person I knew and always knew how to cheer me up.

My grandma was sweet, nice, and loving. My special memory of her is that when I visited her, we always had a tea party with fish crackers and 7-up. I will miss her a lot. :)
