Just watching a documentary on WWII German P.O.W.s in Berga on Netflix persuading me again to try to find out something about a favorite teacher in Cayucos. Unfortunately it was his obituary. On many times in the years since Cayucos (class of 1969) as people from many countries and dialects complemented my pronunciation of Spanish, I always think of him. Even with my bad grammar and less than a thousand word vocabulary many would think I was fluent. He will always be a large part of the wonderful memories of growing up in Cayucos. My condolences to his beautiful family as I remember sitting next to them often at mass.
