The Menasco Family, I will always have fond memories of George strutting around the store (Ford's) and his mother coming in wearing white gloves inspecting the counter tops for dust. I was friend with Jr. and Irene but we moved away and lost touch. Apparently longevity is in the genes. I once saw George senior in Reno. No mistaking that bouncy walk. I am sorry for your loss but know that he was a busy man and lived life more than some. I cherish the memories. I was saddened when the earthquake made the store unstable. It was the oldest Department store in California. A true landmark.
