I just learn about this sad event.
I worked with George from 1998 to 2003 on the ageing management EPRI program, and the LCM/ NAM projects. We met every 3 monthes , in the US or in France. He was very dynamic end efficient. I very appreciate to work and to collaborate with him. It was really very pleasant . We had very large discussions about engineering, family, political events, expresssions (comparing english expression with the french equivalent one) ... To his whole family, please accept my sincere sympathy.

Kathleen, we are your Saturday neighbors. We visit our mother every Saturday, just across the street from your home. During the past few years, George has become one of the best friends of our family. His generosity to our mother, the way he pulls everyone together for fun, for intellectual stimulation, for enthusiastic appreciation of life, has been a gift that we will never forget. He took care of our mother in special ways and he uplifted all of us.

Our hearts are breaking for our loss - and even more for you. Please let us know how we can help you, especially on Saturdays. We will be here.

May you heal over time and cherish all of the many amazing memories of this most amazing man.

With deep love,
Janis, Gary, Mark and all the rest of Shirley's family
