Sherman was a great friend to me. We met about 10 years ago through our shared passion for vintage wrist watches. We talked on the phone nearly every week, and often several times a week. I would always crack a smile when my phone rang and I saw that it was Sherm. He always made me laugh at some point in the conversation, and I tried to do the same. I talked to him the Saturday before he passed, and he was working on a seafood dish. I was not familiar with it, and he asked if I would like him to put some on ice, and send it to me in Texas-always a joker. I told him that I had a better idea. We could try it together the next time I was out for a visit. I sure wish I had a chance for that meal with him and Marjorie, but if he could he would probably tell me to try it at a restaurant. I might like it better there. :)
He had a great passion for life, and was always interested in how my wife and I were doing, and where we were going next. Anyone who was fortunate enough to know Sherm well, is a fortunate person indeed. He will be greatly missed, but also celebrated for the wonderful life he lived.

Sherman, you are my rock. I learned so much from you. You were the best uncle ever. I love you.
