Betty A. Bulan Saratoga - Betty A. Bulan, 95, of Pepper Lane died peacefully on October 5, 2012. Born in N.Y.C. on July 5, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Anton and Josephine Duda Koci. She attended public schools in NY and lived in Queens, Woodstock, and Saratoga, NY. Betty was married on October 4, 1941 to George S. Bulan for 67 years. They spent their winters in Florida where they enjoyed dancing and many social activities. Betty was a member of the first group of school crossing guards in Queens, NY. She was an active fundraiser for her church in Woodstock, NY, where she loved to sew stuffed animals and make clothing for them. She enjoyed sewing quilts and appliqué aprons for her friends and family. Betty was proud of her Czechoslovakian heritage and over the years she visited and stayed in touch with her Czech relatives. She was predeceased by her beloved husband George, her parents and her sister. Survivors include her beloved daughters, Janet E. Bulan of NYC and Barbara Iuliano and her husband Blase, of Burnt Hills; four cherished grandchildren, Michael Iuliano (Veronica), Dr. Denise Pittaro (Dr. Michael Pittaro), Dr. Gary Iuliano and Blase Iuliano. Betty is survived also by 9 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Calling hours will be on Wednesday October 10th, 2012 at the Glenville Funeral Home from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Rd. Glenville. A procession will follow the Mass to Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery where Betty will be entombed alongside her husband George. Arrangements are entrusted by the family to the Glenville Funeral Home of Scotia-Glenville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Indian Youth Camp, 290 Swan Highway, Big Fork Montana 59911 in memory of Betty Anna Bulan.
