To have worked with and for both Sarge and Eunice Shriver was to have been in the company of two visionary, idealistic, courageous, determined people. Both took on causes that had great odds and unpopular public opinion at the time.People with disabilities were hidden or committed. Americans waged war, not peace. Mrs. Shriver forever changed how the world views people with disabilities. Mr. Shriver forever changed how the world views the American people. Thank you for the privilege of standing in your shadow.
