My sincere condolences to your family. Losing a loved one is never easy, but our loving God promises to give you the strength and comfort you will need to endure, and cope with the pain of your loss. He also promises to hold your hand every step of the way. Isa.40:29,41:10,13.

I am truly sorry about the loss of your loved one. May the strength that God supplies carry you through this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Deepest sympathies.

He appeared in my Southern Gothic Life after I had left the Savannah of my childhood and helped me to appreciate my roots.
There was a common thread of understanding: his father and my grandfather, both, were South Georgia policemen during the same decades. He visited my homes in S. Florida and in Mexico until he couldn't, anymore. We all loved Charlie.
Visiting him at Bull River Bluff last year - sitting, staring across the marshes at dusk, reminiscing, disjointed verbiage, of the characters which had populated both our lives, we fell silent and sleepy, and then walked the dog.

We have missed Charles ever since he left Bull River Bluff. He was a great neighbor. Thankful he is pain free now!
