As Long as I can remember, we used to call each other "cuz" when we would see each other. We did not really know the exact relationship but it was fun any way.. Although we belonged to many of the same Social organizations, it was his recommendation that I look into several groups that I am now a member of. His Passing will leave a huge Deficit in many of the Groups that he was a part of. Please accept my sympathy and condolences and know that he will live on in the hearts and minds of his family and of those who knew him.

One word that Gordon embodied was honor. He laid his life on the line in honor for his family, his country, his faith in God, his culture, and too much to list. I will miss him dearly.

My wife and I are sorry to learn of Gordon Smith's death, although we did not know him well. He was instrumental in helping me to prove that I am qualified to be a member of the Society of The Cincinnati. He graciously spent an entire day with us getting my recommendation and squiring us around Savannah.
We extend our condolences to his family.
Dr. and Mrs. J. Douglas Cawley (Denver, Colorado)
