I am sorry to read of your loss. My Mom (Vera Tillman) and I both worked for him at Post House. He taught me a lot as I was just a teenager. Mom talked about Him and Mrs. Claborn a lot. They were always fond memories for her as she had a great respect for both of them.
So sorry to hear of Burl's passing.
To the Claborn Family,
Mr. Claborn touched our family lives in so many ways. He was a role model, friend, our boss at Tanner and Post House Cafeteria, problem solver and a true American hero. These attributes are what made him truly one of a kind. He may be gone but he will not be forgotten. Roberta Hazzard and Family
I am sorry for your loss. I was an employee of Tanners many, many years ago. I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Claborn. He was that wonderful man. He lived a legend by having a business that gave him such a great reputation such as "the best hot dogs in town".
Papa (as we all called him) was a wonderful man. I worked with him and had great conversations with him. He loved his family and his church family. Praying for all of his family at this difficult time. However I know he is in heaven with his lovely wife.

Offering my deepest condolences to Mr Claborn family. May God grant you strength and courage as you face the coming days.
A World War II Veteran and a great American from the "Greatest Generation."
Mr. Claborn you will be greatly missed by our family . You were the most well respected caring man I know. We are a very blessed family to have been a part of your life! I wish we could be selfish and kept you with us a little longer to see our boys grow, they loved you so much! You always managed to pick them up and give them a hug. I am so thankful for the many pictures we have of you with our family. We love you Papa! Love Brian, Debbie, Noah, and Luke Lodge
Thank you for those chicken salad sandwich's.
Bless you and your family.
Papa Claborn, everyone knew him by this. He was everyones Papa. I was blessed to have known Burl for over 30 years, never saw anything but a smile on his face and a pleasing word to all around him. He will be greatly missed. "plan your work, work your plan and clean as you go" Love you Papa Claborn,
