Was deeply saddened to learn of James passing. I worked with him at Kaiser for years. James was a GOOD person and a great guy to be around. We thought the service was an honor to James, and his family.

So very sorry to hear of James
Passing. He was a very nice man. My husband has a picture of him and Jimmy taken a while back. We went to school together. RIP James.
Thoughts and prayers are with you and the extended family at this time.
So sorry for your loss, Dorothy.
Todd, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I am thinking of you all and sad to hear about Mr. Dooley. I know he is in a far better place now. I will hold close to my heart the memories we shared as neighbors. May God bless you all during this sad time. I love you.
It has been over 40 years since we played
under Coach Dooley.I just can remember
Coach trying to teach 8 9 and 10 year olds the basics of football on Hesse field as the "Bears football team".
Many times we have talked about that
you do not appreciate those that help
you out in your younger years until you
get a little older youself. You realize
that someone gave of their time every
afternoon for the enjoyment of others.
To the family, we are sorry for you loss and hope that you receive comfort
knowing that there are a lot of men
like us that are grateful for Coach Dooley and the time he gave us as kids.
Linda, I am so sorry to learn of James' death. I will miss him at our Class of '55 reunions. He was always there because he loved Commercial High School and our class.
I consider myself lucky to have been able to play under some of the most honorable men I've ever known in my life while in little league sports. Coach Dooley made a lasting impression on me and my family at a time when we were so impressionable. The greatest coaches of any sport in any league on any level of all time to me include Dooley, Jones, Hanson, and Beasley. God blessed us with these men, we were all lucky to be around them. Thank You for all the time you gave us.

James will always be remembered by me as "Big Dooley." I believe he was the best U.S.M.C.Rerservist NCO in the history of the 5th Rifle Company. His "Can Do," spirit was infectious. You had to love the guy...Semper Fi. Reds Helmey
