Lee White Obituary

Ann White passed from this life on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at her home.

She was born in Savannah, GA on June 11, 1935. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis H. and Annie Lou Purvis, and her youngest daughter, Amy Noel White.

Ann is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Thomas L. White; her daughters and their husband's, Stacey Ann and Daryl McCorkle, and Cynthia Lee and Michael Grizzard; sisters, Shirley Mosley, Nadine Beatty and Jeanne Futch; her grand and great-grandchildren, Christopher and Sarah Lewis and their son Grant, Paige Lewis and her son Eli, Joshua Michael Grizzard and Zachary Thomas Grizzard, and her adopted children, Shelly and David Clifton, and several nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.

Ann was Tommy's precious princess from the moment he saw her. She made the lives of her children and grandchildren extraordinary by her undaunting love and compassion. Ann was a long time member of the Pooler First Baptist Church and loved her Sunday School class. She was the self proclaimed "Boss" of the Ladies Bible Class. She was a fearless woman of God and her faith never wavered even through her own darkest moments. She was a mighty prayer warrior and shared the love of Christ with everyone.

The family wishes to express grateful appreciation to the nurses of 7 North at St. Joseph's Hospital, Jennifer, Kathrynn and Jodi for their loving attention and care.

The visitation will be on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral will be on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Pooler First Baptist Church located at 204 U.S. Hwy. 80 West. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Even though I did not know Lee Ann, I knew her Dad and Mother years ago. Lewis was a related to my Dad and we would see them at times.
