NiKeya, I'm so saddened to hear of your passing. My prayers are with your family in their moment of bereavement. I knew Keya from the old 'High' (Savannah High). To her children, be encouraged and continue to trust in GOD, the higher Power.

I had the privilege of meeting and forming a friendship with Nikeya as we began our journey in the Masters Prog at University of Phoenix. For almost 2 years we worked elbow to elbow on the same team. Her work ethics were phenomenal. She proved to be an awesome classmate and a very special friend. She loved her boys and worked extremely hard everyday to make life better for them. After graduation, our paths were different, but our friendship remained as it was from the beginning. Whenever we saw each other, it was as if no time had passed. I am so saddened for Nikeya's family and especially the three (3) distinguished gentlemen left to carry on her life's legacy. I will forever remember the time we shared at UOP and our graduation. #GoneToSoon #RIPNikeya #YouCan'tCrownHimUntilIGetThere

May the God of all comfort be with your family at this time of sadness 2 Cor 1:2-7 and may you have peace.

From the time I meet NiKeya at a Sol. C. Johnson High school at a Parent Band Booster Club meeting, I enjoyed her bold and straightforwardness. She was a person who got the job done. During Johnson's Homecoming, we always said, "We were parents of a Atomsmasher but we were Blue Jackets for life." So family, remember, "Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal." So look to the heavens for your strength, for God will never leave nor forsake you nor will NiKeya. Her love will continue to shine through your hearts.

Keya was more than a friend to me. She was my high school sweetheart. Nikeya and myself attended prom together in 1996. At this moment all I can say, is you were a beautiful person with a heart of gold. I never thought I would have to be typing this . Baby girl you will be truly missed. REST EASY
