My handsome daddy I miss you already but I find comfort in knowing that you are not suffering anymore. You were so strong and fought so hard to the very end. You are resting now and free of your pain. You will live on in my heart and in the memories I have of you which i will cherish forever. I will think of you when I here certain country songs.....Especially "Hello Darlin'" and "He Stopped Loving Her Today" I love, love, love you daddy ...until we meet again. You are always in my heart. Love, Sheila

I offer my sincere condolences to Mary Lou, the children of Shannon and Mary Lou, and to the extended children. I have memories of the "bait" shop in Faulkville, and his skills as a journeyman welder. I am thankful, as a fellow veteran, for his service to our country. To you, Shannon Gillis, I bid you God speed on your journey to your final home, and may you RIP!

Shannon always was an honorable man. As my neighbor he inspirited me on how capable he was fabricating and fixing his metal expertise. And many other operational fixture he new how to fix and it's theories how they operate. I enjoy our conversation/ laughters and just about thing we could talk about. Whenever I would see him drive his truck pass my shop, he'd always had this special waive he gave. And stopped to say hi. I sure am going to miss those moments. He always displayed his love for our great nation in his character and combat display patches he wore on his hat or truck. You'll always have my respect and admiration of a great man you are.
