Karen Elizabeth Hendricks Ard, 47, of Savannah, GA passed away peacefully due to complications from diabetes on December 24, 2017.
Karen was the daughter of Martha E. Painter and W. Keith Hendricks, born on January 12th, 1970 in Savannah, GA.
Karen is survived by her two children Raymond W Ard III & Breigh Ard; her grandson David C. Carter Jr; her mother Martha Painter; her father Keith Hendricks and his wife Lori; her brother Bryan Hendricks; her sister Wendi Hendricks; and her half brother Chris Caldwell.
Karen was a decorated gymnast in her early years and graduated from Christian Renewal Academy in Brunswick, GA. She was a loving mother, daughter, wife and jubilant friend. She will always be remembered for her joyous heart, endless energy, loud demeanor, and her ability to bring a smile to any and all around her even in the face of adversity. Karen was a shooting star in so many ways, and we are blessed to have had the opportunity to share the light that was her soul. Karen loved her hometown of Tybee Island and appreciated nothing more than spending summers in the sun, sand, and salt water with those she loved. Don't forget the Pina Colada & fishing pole!
Please join us Friday January 5, 2018 at 3:00pm for a celebration of Karen's life at: Chapel by the Sea Baptist Church, 811 Butler Avenue, Tybee Island, GA 31328.

I dont know what to say except that i love you. I cant understand exactly how you feel, but God does and will keep raising you up. I hope that our prayers will help a little. I understand times like this can be full of anxieties and stress but remeber god is a God of comfort. 1pet5:7 says you can throw your burdens on him because he cares and he will sustain you. I hope this helps with your loss.

I don't know Karen. I just saw her photo and her smile.
I do not mean to intrude, but for some reason, her photo seemed to jump out, and it touched me.
From her picture, it immediately became clear that she was a good person, A happy and joyful person that could have been a friend. A person who changed things by her mere presence. Please accept my condolences.
As you continue to reflect on Karens life, please remember there is only one true God, and his name can be found at Psalms chapter 83, Verse 18. He is a Spirit; you cannot see him, but he sees you. He knows your pain and sorrow, He loves you, and he wants you to love him in return.
