Neil Boydston Satterfield, former professor at Armstrong State University in Savannah, Ga, died December 20 at Givens Highland Farms in Black Mtn., N.C. Dr. Satterfield was born in Queens, NY, and grew up in Washington, DC and Atlanta, GA. He served in the Air Force, graduated from UNC, and earned graduate degrees from UT and UGA, ED.D.
Dr. Satterfield is survived by his wife, Marion Duckworth Satterfield, and children Suzan, her husband, Allen Facemire, Scott, and his wife, Pam Satterfield, Stuart, Steven and his husband Ben Tompkins, and four grandchildren, Christopher Mewbron, Amanda Facemire, Emma and Rowan Satterfield, and his sister, Karen Brand, all of Atlanta.
There will be a Memorial Service at Highland Farms on Jan. 13 at 3:00 p.m. Instead of gifts, please direct remembrances to Central Presbyterian Church Outreach, https://app.etapestry.com/onlineforms/CentralOutreach/donateonline.html

I know this was a while back and im sorry for your loss. A close friend of mine came across a old letter from "aunt maree" where she mentions she gives a 1 dollar gold piece to niel, a gold pocket watch to whoever the letter was too and . mentions the watch belonged to the great kittie satterfield and being about 150 years old, some beads that someone bought maree abroad and mentions the place she was staying at are cousins of betty duuford. Worked with Neil Satterfield in '68 when he was a Court Service Field Rep with the State Department of Family and Children Services, District #1 office located on Bull Street in Savannah. I'm so sorry to learn of his passing and would like to extend my heartfelt sympathy to his family.
