Although the time has passed for responding to a current obituary announcement, I am moved to comment on the passing of Bill Schmitt. Since meeting Bill in 1998, his words, wisdom, compassion, professionalism and
overall good-natured persona as never left me. Often I reflect on the "gold nuggets" he would pleasantly pass on. He will forever be in my mind. Patricia Ratcliffe, Principal of Notre Dame Academy (1998-2003). I know he is with The Father.

Bill was a great person and leader and was certainly a major force in the retail industry helping many people along the way.
