Just heard of Mr. Big Bill Too Tall Pine Tree Eason's passing today as I made a visit to the river he loved so much. He had a wonderful spirit and was great to work with as a river guide. I and countless others will treasure the memories!!! Thank you Mr. Bill.

I was so saddened to hear about Bill's passing. What a sad loss for all of us who have been on the Ogeechee with him and were looking forward to doing it again. My condolences go out to his family and friends. Bill was the first person who took me out kayaking on the Ogeechee with my mom, dad, and husband. He loved that place so much and even more he loved to share it with others who showed it respect. I and all of us who knew him at Ogeechee Riverkeeper will miss his knowledge of and deep reverence for the water and its connection to our health and well-being. Rest in Peace, Bill.

I only knew Bill for a short time and was looking forward to getting to know him better. We bowled together in Pooler for just 2 weeks before he got sick. In that time, the way he spoke of his family really showed what a caring man he was. I'm saddened by his death and the loss of a good friend.

Will miss seeing Bill at the ogeechee river. We grew up together and went to school together. My prayers are with his family at this difficult time in their lives. God bless
