I read the sad news this morning. Nancy was a good friend, roommate and colleague in Redondo Beach. She was intelligent, loving, caring, dedicated, fun-loving and loved her husband,Ted, so much. The world has lost a very special person in Nancy.
May God grant Ted and her family much courage and strength during these very difficult times.
My deepest condolences to her family and loved ones. Mrs. Spence was the principal at Madison when my son was there. She was a lovely, caring person and I remember seeing her on the playground every morning greeting all the children and us parents. She was an excellent educator and and even more wonderful person. She made our elementary school years memorable and will always be remembered as the caring person she was.
Nancy Spence was the kindest, warmest principal I have ever known. Mrs. Sppence gave my son all the love and confidence he needed to start school.
Rest in Peace Nancy. Your spirit lives on in each and every child (and teacher) who knew you.
Nancy was the beloved principal at Madison Elementary School in Redondo Beach. Her time here taught all who knew her to appreciate life and all that you have. She was an inspiration to me and to each and every child that passed through Madison. We are so sad at her passing but we are so honored to have known Nancy and to have had her in our lives. Rest in Peace.
Nancy will truly be missed. She was an incredible educator and amazing woman. I will forever be grateful to her for the support and wisdom she gave to me while on the board.
Nancy will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a great leader and amazing woman. I fondly remember the wisdom she brought to the school district and the incredible support she gave to myself and others. It was a gift to know her. Ted, I hope you find comfort in knowing that Nancy is an angel smiling down.
She was a Classy Lady and a well respected neighbor. My condolences to Ted and the family.
Nancy was an amazing individual. I knew her as my principal when I was a teacher at Madison Elementary in the early 90s. She was one of the most caring, insightful, professional individuals I have ever known. She was also a great example of a good leader. Her life impacted thousands, including mine. What a great loss to all of us. She will be greatly missed. Prayers for Ted and the rest of her family.
Nancy was one of my colleagues at the old Andrews School when it was in existence. That goes waaaaay back, to be sure. My condolences to her husband and family. We never know when it is our time. May her soul rest in peace. Bernadette Kociemba
