I will always remember Jessie's kind spirit and her lovely smile; how enjoyable it was joking around with her in high school and occasionally running into and talking with her on campus at Berkeley; and how special she made me feel when she selected me to take part in her quinceañera.... I hope that Emilio and her parents, and all her loved ones, find additional strength and peace in the knowledge that her flame continues to burn brightly in those who knew her and were affected, at one time or another, by her genuine goodness.
