In Memorium. "I knew him as 'Uncle Harvey.' Funny, brash, outgoing; made everybody laugh. Always smiling. He would take me out on 'secret missions' when I was a child and we visited with him and his family in Rialto, California. Of course, I cannot disclose the nature of the missions, because, of course they were secret! But, I can tell you that it was always an adventure, and fun, to be with my Uncle Harvey. He had many sides to him that I never fully appreciated. Wish I had gotten to know him better as we both aged. Wish I had told him before he passed how much I loved him, admired him, and remembered him. Better to speak than to regret. See you later, Uncle Harvey!"

Re-post of previously posted message: My uncle Harvey was larger than life and I shall never forget him in his Sheriff's uniform, stopping by my Nana Pina's house for lunch, making funny jokes, with a high spirit and happy-go-lucky disposition that made him a family favorite. I shall always remember our family trip to Ensanada in the early 70's, the camper, the picnics, and family. May my uncle Harvey rest in peace with his mother, my grandmother, Magdalena Jesus Pina, his precious daughter, Cynthia, and his first wife, and my loving aunt, Yolanda. My deepest sympathies to his siblings, my aunt Esther, uncle Manuel, and my mother, Connie, who have been hit hard by the loss of their beloved brother. My deepest condolences to his daughter Jolene, his son Renee, and to his granddaughters who loved him dearly. Regrets to his wife, Susan and all of those who knew and loved this loving, warm and gentle man. You are already missed, uncle Harvey. May God keep you safe in his loving arms.
